Female entrepreneurship is a growing phenomenon throughout the world. There are many factors that have contributed to this growth, e.g. the increase in women’s education and the change in gender roles have made us more capable of starting and running our own businesses. This has a positive impact on the global economy since companies led by women are more innovative and export-oriented. In addition, companies led by women generate more jobs for women and young people.
This new edition of WEIC aims to explore in depth different topics related to women entrepreneurs, the development of our enterprises, the socialization of good practices, raising awareness among producers and consumers about the importance of greater harmony between the environment and people, and the promotion of creative, innovative and sustainable projects.

Welcome to Cuba! Your adventure begins as you are met at the airport by our local taxi driver and transferred to your accommodation in the city center. Once you check-in and settle in, take your time to meet other members of the group and/or enjoy the surroundings.
06:00PM. The Orientation meeting will be at 6PM in the cafeteria section. Your tour guide will review the updated itinerary and inform you of any possible last minute changes that may have occurred.
08:00PM. Be ready to enjoy a delicious dinner at a private Cuban paladar while enjoying the most amazing spectacle from members of the well-known Buena Vista Social Club. Take into account that a paladar is a small, family-run restaurant. This means you are contributing to the economic well-being of some Cuban families.
11:45PM. Bus transfer back to your accommodation will be available. In case you want to continue enjoying your time, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

09:30AM. This morning, after a delicious breakfast, attend the opening activity of WEIC 2025. Continue with keynote speeches, interactive panels, and presentations.
01:30PM. As it is lunch time, enjoy local food and live music. One national drink is included, so, we recommend a refreshing Limonada Frapé.
02:30PM. After lunch, enjoy the opportunity to get the most from a B2B environment, networking and associated exhibition.
05:00PM. Ready for a ride on Convertible Classic Cars? Go on a panoramic tour of Modern Havana; a stop at the Revolution Square is included.
06:00PM. Time to go back to accommodation and get ready for dinner.

08:00PM. Delight your palate with a delicious dinner at a private Cuban paladar owned by an amazing Cuban Women Entrepreneur. Enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure.

03:00PM. Discover the history behind the magnificent buildings of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982. Visit the 4 main squares of the area: Plaza de Armas, Plazas Vieja, Plaza de San Francisco de Asís and Plaza de la Catedral.
05:00PM. Time to go back to accommodation and get ready for dinner.
08:00PM. Be ready to enjoy a delicious dinner at a private Cuban paladar owned by an amazing Cuban Women Entrepreneur.

10:00AM. Wake up, wake up! Today, you will visit 2 private businesses led by Cuban women entrepreneurs (one in the morning, one after lunch) to understand how they face the economic situation in Cuba to keep their businesses successful and running.

04:00PM. Time to go back to accommodation and get ready for dinner.
08:00PM. Delight your senses with a delicious dinner while listening to good music at FANGIO Habana, undoubtedly one of the best places in Cuba to listen to the best exponents of Cuban jazz music. Enjoy the rest of your night at leisure.

After breakfast, continue your tour of the private businesses led by Cuban women entrepreneurs (one in the morning and one after lunch) to understand how they faced the challenges of a predominantly male-dominated society to follow their dreams of entrepreneurship and keep their businesses successful and running.

04:00PM. Time to go back to accommodation and get ready for dinner.
08:00PM. Enjoy dinner and the spectacular show of the well-known Tropicana Cabaret.
11:45PM. Bus transfer back to accommodation will be available. In case you want to continue enjoying your time, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

This morning you can pack your suitcase and all those souvenirs you have already bought. The driver will pick you up 3 hours before your scheduled departure flight time to take you to the airport. Remember to have your passport, airline ticket and all your belongings by hand.

Essential travel documents you must bring with you in order to travel stress-free and get the most from your visit.
A valid passport is required for the entirety of your trip. Make sure it has six months validity at the time of entry.
Cuba requires that all arriving travelers, except Cuban born travelers, have a Tourist Card or Visa to enter the country. If you are flying to Cuba via the US or you are a US citizen, then you will need a “pink” Visa. For those who travel from the rest of the world to Cuba, they will need a “green” one. You can get your visa online or purchase it at the airport during check-in for your flight. If you are a US passport holder residing in the United States you can also purchase it from us. We ship only within the US. Note it will arrive blank for you to fill out with your passport information. This tourist card is valid for 90 days. Make sure you do not misplace it while in Cuba since you cannot leave the country without it, and please, do not detach the two separate sides. Customs in Cuba is responsible for this.
Cuba requires all visitors to have a travel medical insurance at the time of entry to the island to cover their entire stay. Most of the U.S. airlines that fly directly to Cuba give you the option of purchasing it at the moment of booking your flight ticket. SST assists its clients in the choice and purchase of the travel insurance plans if needed, limiting itself only to the assistance during the purchase and not to the implementation of said plans. Therefore, in case of unforeseen circumstances, you should contact your insurance company directly.
Make sure to buy a roundtrip ticket or have onward travel from Cuba if you are buying one-way. US airlines flying to Cuba: American Airlines (AA), Southwest (WN) and Delta (DL). SST assists its clients with the airline ticket booking process if required. Please, take into account that your flight ticket will be booked directly through the airline depending on their availability for the scheduled date. Most of these airline tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you cancel your trip, the amount paid for the airline ticket and the travel insurance will not be refunded.

If you are visiting the island and staying on your own, you will probably find that most of the private casas in Cuba do not have wi-fi service available, so guests usually go to the nearest hotels, buy an internet card and access the service in the hotel lobby.
